TD Direct Investing (DI) provides financial services to clients who manage their own investments and empowers them to do so with confidence through state of the art technologies and access to information and support. Job Requirements
- Experience working in Direct Investing or closely related field with sound understanding of the competitive dynamics in the brokerage industry.
- Proficient at managing or working with a business P&L
- Proven track record of attracting, developing and retaining diverse top talent.
- Strong people leader with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams.
- Successful at building partnerships at the senior executive level
- Active champion of raising the bar on continuous improvement
- Proven ability to serve as strategist, change agent and advocate, while balancing business realities, regulatory expectations, and best practices
- Possesses a clear understanding of the importance of collaboration across the organization to leverage peer groups.
- Ability to stay resilient under pressure and operate in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Vice Presidents (VPs) at TD Bank Group contribute significantly to the overall reputation of TD. A VP is expected to guide their team collaborating as appropriate with TD partners to deliver superior results in both the short and long term.

Reporting to the SVP, Direct Investing and Wealth Delivery, the Vice President, Product Strategy and Pricing, will lead a team responsible for developing the strategic direction, manage the overall P&L and ensure the continued growth and competitive leadership of the Direct Investing business inclusive of key client relationship development activities.
The general accountabilities of this role are expected to include the following:
- Manage the Profitability of the business while balancing short-term performance with long-term growth. This includes developing a deep understanding of the revenue and expense levers to inform forecasting, strategy and tactical areas of focus.
- Accountable for Strategy Development, Business Planning and Articulation of the direction and objectives for the business. This includes defining priority client segments, pricing, platform and distribution strategy, strategic partnerships, merger & acquisition opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Develop Market Intelligence that monitors marketplace trends and provides a deep understanding of competitor business models, value props, pricing, relative positioning as well as broader marketplace trends. This includes responsibility for reviewing and performing gap analysis of existing product line up, determining future client needs and guiding the development of solutions to meet those needs.
- Own the Client Engagement Strategy and vision across all client channels including digital, desktop, and phone which includes developing and optimizing engagement programs and ongoing communications leveraging existing capabilities by partnering with marketing, in-field distribution, contact centre, legal, compliance and other stakeholders
- Be the business lead on all Risk, Compliance and Legal issues, exams and audits including the remediation of findings. Continue to Mature the Risk Management (1A) team leveraging insights on the active trader segment to define and manage risk exposure, drive data-driven decisions and support overall business objectives.
