PLEASE NOTE; The start date for this post will be no earlier than May 2025Pilgrim Hospital is situated on the outskirts of the market town of Boston and serves the population of the whole of South and Mid-Lincolnshire providing emergency and acute inpatient care, elective and emergency surgery, outpatient services and much moreACU is a 16 bedded unit that comprises with combination of male and female patient.The team have been established over a number of years and are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.The position offers shifts Monday to Friday (08:00-16:00).Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will be an integral part of the team ensuring that it runs smoothly on a day to day basis.The post holder is essentially the first point of contact for relatives to the unit and as such it is imperative that they have the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately according prevailing situations.It is imperative that the post holder understands the sensitive nature of this role and adheres to the Trust’s confidential policy at all times.The ward clerk will undertake clerical work, necessary in the efficient running of the Acute Cardiac Unit, and will need to work without supervision, using their own initiative when dealing with enquiries and passing them onto the appropriate person.The post also demands the ability to communicate at all levels with patients, relatives and medical colleagues to maintain a high standard of service to meet the needs of the patients.Informal visits welcomed and actively encouraged to fully appreciate the role.About usUnited Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment.
