An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join the team on Ward 31 at Castle Hill Hospital in the role of Hygienist.You will work alongside the nursing team and fellow housekeeper to ensure that high standards are maintained to deliver a quality service.The working days are Mon – Fridays, with no weekend working at present, subject to change with service requirements.Ward 31 is a specialist Oncology Ward which consists of 23 beds.Main duties of the jobThe Hygienist Job role includes maintaining national standards of cleanliness in relation to the direct patient environment and equipment within the ward area, whilst adhering to infection control policies.The successful applicant will need to have good communication skills, be flexible to meet the needs of the service and be able to work under their own initiative, escalating issues including broken and worn out equipment as necessary.Knowledge of working in a care environment would be an advantage but not essential.Academic qualifications are not essential although IT skills would be an advantage as reporting broken equipment is done electronically.About usThe Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.Made up of two Trusts – Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) – our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff.
