Warehouse Operative with Van Driving Duties
Location: Reading
Salary: £11.70 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30, Every other Saturday 08:00 – 12:00
Weekly Pay: Paid every FridayWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative with van driving duties to join our team based in Reading. This is a full-time position with a variety of tasks, offering a stable role and the chance to develop your skills in both warehouse operations and delivery driving.Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Duties:
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for delivery
- Scanning products to ensure accurate stock control
- Loading and unloading vans, lorries, and containers
- Moving stock around the warehouse and ensuring items are stored correctly in designated bays
- Sorting products (car parts) and ensuring they are stored in an organized, accessible manner
Van Driving Duties:
- Delivering car parts to customers across Reading and surrounding areas
- This will be on an ad-hoc basis, covering for sickness and holiday leave
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Ensuring the van is kept clean and well-maintained
- Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience (or over 22 years of age for insurance purposes)
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving is desirable but not essential
- Must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (e.g., lifting, bending, sorting heavy or bulky items)
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when picking and packing orders
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time-management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills when making deliveries
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30
- Every other Saturday, 08:00 to 12:00 (on a rotating schedule)
- 40 hours one week, 44 hours the next

- Applicants who do not meet the UK driving licence requirement (2 years minimum or over 22 years of age) will not be considered for the role.
- You will be primarily warehouse-based but may be required to drive for deliveries when necessary.
