Specific requirements for the role:

 

Education:

–       Essential: Bachelor’s degree in science related to the job (example: Environmental, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or industrial science/engineering)

–       Vocational Training: training or certifications in waste management or hazardous materials handling preferred.

 

Experience:

–       Position with follow-up and application of procedures, experience in waste management is a plus.

–       Desirable: previous practical experience in related jobs with other NGOs

–       On-the-Job Experience: experience in waste management operations, including operating and maintaining equipment.

–       Experience with incineration processes, waste sorting, and handling potentially hazardous materials would be particularly important

Languages:

–       Essential: Fluency in English required and Arabic.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

–       Computer skills desirable,

–       Repair skills desirable (manual skills, thoroughness, method)
