Our client, a well-established wood manufacturing plant that produces high-quality products for industrial, residential, and commercial construction is looking for an experienced Millwright to join their weekend maintenance team!

Location: NE Calgary, AB
Schedule: (3×12) Friday – Sunday, 6 am – 6 pm (34.5 work hrs per week)
Environment: Non-unionized
Wage: Hourly $40 to $42 per hour (based on experience and certification)Advantages

What You’ll Do Every Day
As a Weekend Maintenance Millwright, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
– Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to minimize production downtime.
– Conduct mechanical rounds to identify wear or damage and implement timely solutions.
– Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, fostering a safe work environment.
– Collaborate with the maintenance team and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
– Support major equipment upgrades or installations, ensuring adherence to facility standards.Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
– Certification: 4th year apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright ticket.
– Experience: 2-3 years in maintenance or a related field.
– Technical Expertise: Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in repairs, PMs, and rebuilds (no electrical skills required).
– Commitment to Safety: A track record of promoting and enforcing health and safety protocols.Summary
