Our innovative and dynamic client seeks to appoint a dedicated, talented and experienced whole life carbon assessor to join the team and contribute to the sustainability of high-rise building projects. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance the role offers fully remote working to individuals who are eligible to work in the UK.Ideally you will possess detailed understanding of sustainable building practices, particularly within the context of high-rise construction, with the ability to identify and assess building materials within a high-rise construction project. The role requires that you be proficient in whole life carbon assessment methodologies, as well as expertise in evaluating carbon footprint of construction materials, processes and building operations.Key responsibilities:

  • Lifecycle carbon assessment: Conduct comprehensive whole life carbon assessments for high-rise building projects, covering all stages from material extraction to end-of-life.
  • Carbon Footprint Evaluation: Analyse and quantify the carbon impacts of construction materials, building systems, and operational processes, providing recommendations for carbon reduction.
  • Energy Compliance: Understand and apply relevant BREEAM compliance standards within the context of lifecycle carbon assessments.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring all their needs are met and exceeded. Serve as the primary point of contact for carbon assessment-related project updates and issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the construction of high-rise projects.
  • Personal Attributes: Be self-motivated, inquisitive, and proactive in asking questions and seeking answers. Maintain a strong focus on detail.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all lifecycle carbon assessments. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery. Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.

Requirement:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainable building practices, with a focus on high-rise construction and lifecycle carbon assessment is desirable but not essential. –
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in whole life carbon assessment methodologies and a detailed understanding of high-rise building construction.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in lifecycle carbon assessment, sustainability, or energy efficiency are highly desirable.
