Please note this internship opportunity is open to current UWE students and alumni from the College of Health, Science, and Society (CHSS) only.About this role :Are you passionate about promoting equality and supporting students from diverse backgrounds? We are looking for a dedicated Widening Participation (WP) Intern to join the College of Health, Science, and Society at UWE Bristol. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience while contributing to the support of Black, Asian, and Racially Minoritised students. As a WP Intern, you will be involved in recruiting and managing student advocates, participating in various projects, and working with staff and students across all Schools within the CollegeAbout you:We are seeking a current or alumni UWE student from the College of Health, Science, and Society. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of anti-racist practices and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Essential skills include strong IT capabilities, the ability to run and promote activities and events, and effective communication with a wide range of audiences. Previous experience in positions of responsibility and knowledge of positive action campaigns is desirable.Where is this role based?This post is based between our lively Campus, where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources, and our Campus, set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles northeast of Bristol City Centre.We are one of the largest providers of Higher Education in the South West with 38,000 students and 4,000 staff from right across the globe.   • Alumni, postgraduate, and placement students are offered 25-hour contracts.
  • Full-time students are offered a 16-hour contract in line with University policy.
