Job introductionAbout the roleThe ESCC Work Experience team are seeking a Work Experience Officer to work with schools, young people and employers to deliver high quality work experience opportunities.Work experience supports young people to make career decisions, develop employability skills and support successful transition into further education, higher education, apprenticeships and the workplace.As part of the role, you will liaise with schools, young people and employers, provide administrative support to the team, undertake pre-placement health and safety checks and ensure the efficient running of a responsive and cost-effective work experience service.You will have the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels, knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and excellent IT skills.It essential that you have experience of working with young people as you will support vulnerable learners to identify vocational interests that they are interested in and ensure that they are placed in safe and appropriate work placements.Where possible candidates should have an IOSH qualification, but training will be provided if you do not have this.If you enjoy working in a team, are proactive, able to work on your initiative and prioritise your work to balance competing demands, this role will suit you.To apply for this role please follow the ‘Apply Now’ button above.
