Details:Mission and objectives:Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association was officially recognized by the Government of Cameroon in 2006 under authorization No. 152/E.27/750/BAPP/PS. In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance.The association is registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada.Our mission is to promote sustainability and combat climate change through innovative agricultural practices, while providing essential support and resources to newcomers in Canada. We strive to empower communities, foster inclusive development, and create resilient ecosystems that benefit both the environment and the diverse populations we serve.PROSDOMA focuses on supporting sustainable agriculture and combating climate change in both Africa and Canada. In Africa, the association promotes eco-friendly farming techniques, food security, and rural development, empowering communities through improved agricultural practices. In Canada, PROSDOMA aids newcomers by offering services like job assistance, legal aid, and integration support. The organization also advocates for climate change awareness, environmental protection, and social inclusion to create resilient and thriving communities.Context:PROSDOMA is dedicated to promoting sustainable development, climate resilience, and support for migrants and refugees. To enhance awareness of our work and expand our impact, we are seeking volunteers to contribute to our content development efforts.Volunteers will play a key role in researching and writing articles that highlight PROSDOMA’s initiatives, achievements, and key issues related to sustainability and migration. By producing high-quality content, volunteers will help strengthen our outreach, attract new partners and donors, and ensure that PROSDOMA’s mission reaches a wider audience.Task type:Writing and EditingTask description:As a PROSDOMA online volunteer, your primary role will be to research and write compelling articles that highlight the organization’s impact, projects, and mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing four articles per week on topics related to PROSDOMA’s initiatives, achievements, and sustainability efforts.
- Researching relevant information to ensure accuracy and alignment with PROSDOMA’s mission.
- Creating clear, engaging, and informative content to raise awareness and attract supporters.
- Collaborating with the team to develop articles that complement social media and outreach efforts.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong writing skills and a passion for social impact.Requirements:Volunteers for PROSDOMA’s social media management should have the following skills and experience:Social Media Management: Experience managing accounts on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Content Creation: Ability to craft engaging posts, videos, and graphics to share PROSDOMA’s work.
Strong Communication: Excellent writing skills to produce clear, concise, and engaging content.
Graphic Design: Basic skills in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) for creating visually appealing content.
Social Media Strategy: Knowledge of strategies to increase reach and engagement across social platforms.
Experience: Previous work or volunteer experience in social media management or digital marketing is a plus.
Passion for Impact: A strong interest in supporting community empowerment and newcomers.Languages: Fluent in English (Required).Work Hours: 11 – 15
