Tradewind are looking to recruit a dedicated teacher to make an impact in Year 2 from Easter.On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking for an excellent Year 2 teacher to cover a term commencing April 2024. This is a popular and thriving primary school in Adswood, Stockport and the school will pay a competitive salary of up to £185 per day for the successful candidate.This single form entry school has been judged as a consistently ‘Good’ school where pupils and adults have good relationships. Pupils follow instructions, pay attention and are respectful of the opinions of others. This is a fantastic opportunity for the school to appoint a Class Teacher to join and strengthen the existing team from December 2022 and offer you a supportive and collaborative environment to thrive in, with many CPD opportunities to suit your interests.Who are we looking for?The successful candidate will:
- Be able to plan exciting, engaging lessons which capture the interests of the children
- Have a strong command of the Read Write Inc Phonics scheme and be able to use supplemental resources to support reading and writing
- Have high levels of success in teaching in KS1 of the primary sector and, in particular, demonstrate how they have been able to meet the needs of children with SEND
- Have a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and age related expectations
- Be able to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Have excellent communications skills and be able to build strong relationships with children, staff and families
- Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused and wholeheartedly committed to transforming student outcomes
- Know the legal requirements, national policy and guidance on the safeguarding of children.
