Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?In this role as a key member of the global Wholesale Financial Resource Advisory team the successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for the Wholesale businesses (Capital Markets and Treasury Services), leading the policy and governance funds transfer pricing framework for wholesale finance business’ in projects related to the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) for Capital Markets’ (CM) businesses, while streamlining and enhancing reporting capabilities for funding and liquidity cost allocation platform wide for the consumption of CM Senior Management.Lead the engagement, design and implementation of CM FTP between Wholesale businesses and (1) Corporate Treasury and (2) Wholesale Business Finance Advisory in formulating proposals to optimize both funding and liquidity costs as well as sources and uses of funding, while enhancing application of FTP methodology and operational process’. Manage and design processes to allocate funds transfer pricing costs to wholesale businesses while continuously monitoring and analyzing through implementation of FTP methodologies.What will you do?
- Lead and implement initiatives to enhance accuracy and allocation of funding and liquidity costs to Capital Markets businesses in accordance with Corporate Treasury’s FTP methodologies, as well as providing transparency over FTP charges to relevant stakeholders.
- Design and implement enhanced allocation mechanisms for CM’s FTP costs to support the alignment of funding and liquidity costs with asset profile requirements.
- Steering actions and management options, awareness and education of the application of Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies within CM businesses.
- Oversee the management of monthly term liquidity premium allocations to CM businesses and ensure implementation accuracy.
- Forecast and analyze funds transfer pricing costs for CM businesses based on forecasted balance sheet usage, and advise relevant stakeholders while offering strategic insight on optimizing financial resource deployment.
- Analyze and decompose residual funding costs and spearhead initiatives to further allocate the residual funding costs/benefits based on the source of funding requirements.
- Establishing effective business tools to assist business in understanding funding costs to better price transactions to revenue targets and/or return hurdles.
- Analyze individual business group processes in support of improving cross-functional optimization solutions.
- Ensure ongoing adherence to internal policy standards and industry best practices.
- Support CM teams as well as various enterprise groups by providing information and fulfilling processes as required related to funding and liquidity costs.
- Optimize the use of new technology and information systems updates to improve process and system efficiency including data improvement initiatives.
- Get involved with various projects as required and support the management of financial resources across the Balance Sheet Advisory team, including RWA, Leverage, Capital, Balance Sheet, Funding and Liquidity.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- CA-CPA or CFA designation holder
- Other accounting or finance designation, FRM, MBA or equivalent related designation preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and project management skills
- Knowledge of asset liquidity profile and funding requirements for major product and asset classes within capital markets
- Ability to work independently and manage numerous priorities simultaneously
- Minimum 5-7 years of high level involvement in Financial/management reporting
- Proficiency with computer applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint, ; Visual Basics software knowledge also preferred

- Exposure to Capital Markets and understanding of RBC CM business
- Knowledge of RBC financial systems and associated procedures
