Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma; university students or graduates in agriculture, social sciences, economics, or related fields are preferred.
- Previous experience in data collection or community engagement is an asset.
- Good communication skills in Kurdish and English is plus.
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
- Availability and flexibility to travel within Halabja and surrounding districts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to data collection protocols.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated neutrality and professionalism when interacting with communities.
- Respect for cultural sensitivities and diversity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic problem-solving skills to address field-level challenges appropriately.
- Confidentiality Clause:
- The Enumerator and Community Volunteer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information obtained during assignments.
- No information, documents, photographs, or data collected through IRW Iraq activities may be shared, copied, published, or disclosed without prior written authorization from IRW Iraq.
- Failure to comply with confidentiality requirements may result in removal from the volunteer pool and other appropriate actions.
- Mandatory Training and Capacity Building
Selected enumerators will be required to participate in mandatory training sessions prior to deployment. Topics may include:
- Introduction to IRW Iraq and humanitarian principles.
- Roles and responsibilities of enumerators.
- Survey methodology and interview techniques.
- Use of digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox).
- Informed consent procedures.
- Data protection and confidentiality.
- Safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Child Safeguarding.
- Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP).
- Inclusion of persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups.
- Field safety and security procedures.
Participation in these trainings is compulsory and does not guarantee subsequent deployment.
