Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in environmental and social compliance, OHS, field monitoring, or safeguards implementation.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, water, or school rehabilitation works in fragile or conflict-affected settings is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ESMP/ESCOP, labor management, GRM, stakeholder engagement, and contractor monitoring is required.
- Experience with World Bank ESS, donor-funded programmes, or similar safeguard frameworks is an asset.
Skills
- Strong field monitoring and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of E&S mitigation, OHS, labor standards, and grievance handling.
- Ability to work with contractors, authorities, and communities in sensitive operational settings.
- Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
Languages
- Arabic and/or Kurdish required.
- Working knowledge of English preferred.
