Terms of Reference (ToR)
Position: Female Protection Officer ( violence Against Women and Girls)
Duty Station: Dhi-Qar and Al-Dewanya
Reporting to: Protection expert
– provide direct support and care to adult survivors of VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS and age-appropriate specialized services for , male and girl child survivors of VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS through appropriate case management services.
– Observe and monitor integration of VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, and safety/security and non- discrimination while providing VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS prevention and response services to the affected population
– Be able to develop and roll-out VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS activity standard operating procedures to improve quality of implementation
– Ensure proper documentation of reported VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS incidences in line with case management procedures and tools.
– Ensure proper utilization of the GBVIMS or Similar programs module for trend analysis.
– Ensuring the proper use of Excel software
– Ensure safe and ethical VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS data collection and sharing based on agreed procedures and protocols
– Conduct periodic survivor/client service satisfaction survey to determine the quality of services received by the survivors during case management processes.
– Support in reviewing approaches and methodologies used in VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS prevention and response to be adapted to the relevant context in time.
– Ensure there is timely feedback and response to the concerns of the affected population.
– Work with stakeholders to develop, strengthen and regularly update referral networks and monitor the functioning and capabilities of the existing referral pathways to improve access to quality and reliable services tosurvivors.
– Support in integrating VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS mainstreaming into the organization’s multi-sectoral program
Actively participate in VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS coordination or working group and provide systematic VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS trends.
– Promote a survivor centered approach (respect wishes, decisions of survivors) while implementing VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS programing
– In consultations with women and girls, develop and support to implement a series of age-appropriate and group emotional and social support activities for women and girls, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of survivors of VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS and strengthening support networks among women and girls.
– In consultations with spshilist , develop and implement/ share monthly response plan and VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS key messages/issues based on case trends to disseminate information on services available and referral pathways;
– Support, design and monitor capacity building strategies for VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS staff and community structures.
– Establish and support community-based structures involved in VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS prevention and response.
– Assist in recruitment of qualified VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS staff and community-based structures.
With support from HR department, conduct staff performance evaluations for all VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS staff in a timely manner
– Supervise and support the day-to-day activities including case management/psychosocial support, follow-up and advocacy to meet beneficiaries’ needs, community mobilization to prevent VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS risks, build community capacity to prevent and respond to VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS incidents.
– Conduct regular meetings with team members and community members to assess progress toward VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS program objectives, discuss issues and assist in finding solutions to challenges identified
– Prepare and submit weekly & monthly reports as required and incorporate supervisors’ feedback in a timely manner, including information related to survivor non-identifying data, treatment provided, follow up visits, drugs availability, referrals to other service providers and awareness activities conducted etc.
– Participate in the development of procurement and spending plans and work plans to ensure the successful implementation of programs
– Monitor financial commitments and expenditures against budgets and provide timely feedback on budget follow ups.
– Ensure supplies/resources are requested on a timely manner for timely implementation of program activities including manage/prepare contingency program stock supplies where necessary.
– Ensure tracking of key program indicators and progress through utilization of the M&E data collection and indicator tracking tools.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
- additional training in CP, violence Against Women and Girls and other related topics are an advantage;
- at least 3 years of experience in related field
- previous experience in child protection and violence Against Women and Girls
- good use of excel;
- Arabic, and English knowledge is preferable;
- Covering Area: Dhi-Qar and Al-Dewanya
- Ability to traveling between Dhi-Qar and Al-Dewanya and Baghdad
