It is not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive.JOB PURPOSE:To provide general assistance and support to the Health and Safety Manager of ABP Bandon, ensuring safe practice at all times on our ABP site.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Health & Safety Manager in all administrative activities
  • Weekly report preparation
  • Document maintenance
  • Accident reporting
  • Induction training
  • Manual handling training (following certification)
  • Occupational first aid (following certification)
  • Contractor register
  • Replying to general office enquiries
  • Assist in safety audits and audit reporting.
  • Minute / note taking as required at meetings, conference calls and video conferencing.
  • Liaise with the other ABP Bandon departments to collect required data for use in reports.
  • Other related duties as assigned to you by your direct manager

OPPORTUNITIES FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT:You will have the opportunity to train in the following skills/courses in the first 12 months of employment:

  • Train the Trainer / Certified Trainer
  • Manual Handling Instructor
  • Occupational First Aid
  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
  • Training in documentation control

Essential Requirements:Previous relative experience in health and safety.Good written and verbal communication skillsRight to work in Ireland
