This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the company’s Health & Safety program is effective, compliant, and continuously improving.If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating safe workplaces, we encourage you to apply!Salary: Competitive salary + benefits + perksLocation: Port Perry, ONJob Type: Full-time, permanentSchedule: Monday – FridayResponsibilitiesAssist in developing, maintaining, updating, and administering the Health & Safety ProgramEnsure compliance with program requirements to keep the company in good standingConduct monthly health & safety meetings across all company locationsLead quarterly Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings, providing recommendations to improve programs and policiesPerform quarterly truck audits (and additional audits as required)Identify health & safety requirements for each position, customer, and subcontractorReview and update training matrices, customer requirements, and certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, compliance with OHSA and applicable regulations)Deliver safety training for all new employeesPerform internal audits of the IRS, JHSC, and track site audit documentation (including third-party audits)Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and distributed to employees as neededMonitor and enforce company policies, such as:Code of ConductFit for DutyWorkplace Violence & HarassmentHealth & Safety PolicyPPE & Uniform PolicyCustomer-specific health & safety programsProvide direction and support to employees to ensure they can perform their jobs safely and efficiently, issuing corrective actions if neededMaintain positive working relationships with internal and external health & safety personnelSupport general office duties as needed, including AP, filing, and record keepingFollow proper chain of communication and keep supervisors and managers informed of any absences or issuesKeep office policies and procedures up to dateRequirementsMust be eligible to work and reside within CanadaStrong knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations and best practicesExcellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to conduct training sessions and audits confidently and effectivelyProfessional, proactive attitude with the ability to enforce standards respectfullyAbility to build positive relationships with employees, managers, and external partnersFlexibility to support administrative and operational needs as requiredCompetence with basic office software and record-keeping systemsIf this opportunity aligns with your skills and career goals, we invite you to submit your application today and take the next step in your professional journey.@@jCAB1050
