As RBC Mobile Banking writes the new journey where we want to host more conversations with our clients understand their needs to lead them, to nurture them, to qualify them towards the different RBC value propositions to ensure we drive business outcomes keeping the highest levels of client satisfaction. In this role, you will be leading a team of product managers responsible for defining the strategy and the outcomes and working with a delivery team consisting of project managers, design, software engineers, and quality engineers.What will you do?Define the strategy for a mobile channel product portfolio, to answer the why, the what, and the how.Define and collaborate with their partners to create a strategic product roadmap that will be stemmed from the strategy work.Identify in the roadmap what products will require a go-to-market strategy and work with the corresponding partners (marketing, analytics, etc) to ensure the outcomes and objectives are achieved.Define, develop, and implement OKRs for the portfolio with a clear connection with mobile OKRs and the products powering them.Install a rigorous practice in the team to review the OKRs and have product discussions about the impact on the outcomes. Work with analytics partners to develop the OKRs and make them accessible to the rest of the mobile team and leadership.You will be a people leader for a group of product managers and project managers where you are expected to lead through the RBC values but also become an inspirational leader.Mobile Channel being a horizontal, partnership and managing different stakeholders is expected.What do you need to succeed?Must-Have:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Arts and Science2-4 years of experience as a digital product manager.Proven experience in shipping products to market and managing a product portfolio.A high level of strategic thinking is required, to map client problems to business outcomes.Empathy to understand client needs and collaborate with design and client research teams.Working experience leading delivery teams using a variety of project methodologies (iterative waterfall, Agile)Experience managing teams of 15+ people within a matrix environment.Understanding of software products and development.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to manage communications with all stakeholders and to communicate different content, from strategies to issue resolution or go-to-market strategies.High level of analytical thinking to identify client problems and mapping them to business outcomes.High level of general management skills including, but not limited to, leading, negotiating, communicating, and team building.Nice to Have:Previous RBC or Financial Services experience would be an assetPrevious experience managing products on mobile apps would be an assetKnowledge of business P&L and portfolio/project finance.MBA would be an asset.Certification in Technology or Computer Science would be an assetPositive attitude, highly collaborative, and has an affinity towards people and helping the teamGains trust and is in return trustedExudes calm in states of constant ambiguity and changeComfortable being in constantly uncomfortable project and release statesExtremely organizedWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
