Qualifications & Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • University Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Development, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business, or other discipline relating to Livelihoods and resilience or a humanitarian-related field).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, specifically in managing Public Private Partnership.
  • Very strong experience in resilience and livelihoods programming at both strategic and operational levels
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating gender and diversity issues into programmes
  • Project cycle management experience, including strategic planning, budgeting, reporting, monitoring & evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership management and providing support to partner organisations.
  • Proven ability to coordinate project implementation and track deliverables against work plans.
  • Experience in managing documentation, budgets, and project data to ensure high-quality reporting.
  • Experience in delivering training or mentoring colleagues or partners in good project practices.
  • Prior experience with international humanitarian organizations

 The ideal candidate should also have:

  • Strong coordination, influencing, and relationship-building skills for working with staff and partners.
  • Strong interest in Gender and Women’s Economic Empowerment programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing programmatic challenges.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a culturally-sensitive manner and conducive to their practical application especially in similar contexts
  • Ability to adapt and work within a multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent report writing and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and comfortable with constant change.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong IT skills (Google Workspace, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Arabic
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Very good interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Mentoring and coaching skills

Please note that this role will be based in Basra, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq.
